Turtles Breakdance

Ommm nom nom nomms

Hers is little ‘El Tanque’ omm-nomming on some cactus. He has steel tongue implants as do many desert creatures. This allows them to nom on cactus spikes without much trouble.

As you probably already know, it is customary for turtles to break dance in summer to attract a ‘crew’ (posse of turtle friends). Cactus juice helps turtles maintain stamina throughout these long summer months.

Turtles Break-Dancing

Whilst not eating things, this picture demonstrates the break dancing process a desert turtle crew will go through as a daily routine throughout the entire summer.

This crew is in the beginning stages as there are only two members. A mature desert turtle crew will usually contain four turtle members and sometimes a rat in a dressing gown. Photo sent in by Delite A. DeBolt
