A little known fact in the Turtle world is that there are actually both Desert and Dessert turtles. This is mostly due to the near extinction of Dessert turtles. In fact, up until recently it was widely considered that they were extinct.
Hers is little ‘El Tanque’ omm-nomming on some cactus. He has steel tongue implants as do many desert creatures. This allows them to nom on cactus spikes without much trouble.
It’s been a while since I have posted new turtles, sorry guys. But so many of you have been adding great pics of turtles eating things to the Facebook page. Keep them coming! Now... let’s get back to why I started this blog in the first place.. starring at pictures of happy little turtley faces as they eat things.

My love of turtles eating things and lols just united.
As a pet owner, a not so remeberistic pet owner, I face that horrible realisation at least once a year when I think “oh crap, I forgot their birthdays. again.” :(
