When is it time to eat cake?

As a pet owner, a not so remeberistic pet owner, I face that horrible realisation at least once a year when I think “oh crap, I forgot their birthdays. again.”

And when I do remember, I feel too mean celebrating one birthday at a time. I mean I can understand why when it’s not my birthday I don’t get presents and stuff – but that’s not something you can tell pets. My solution this year will be an all-pet, all-cake-&-presents, all-in birthday bonanza. One day, lot’s of happy.

That’s why I am declaring this Saturday the First Annual Turtle Birthday Bonanza (FATBB)! Get your turtles ready. Give them a bath. Buy them a pointy hat. Tell them all the things you love about them in your best turtle accent. Then, it’s time for cake.

I just found out the coolest thing ever. Turtles have tongues!!

I never thought about it before.

I mean, of course they would have a tongue… but I just didn’t picture it until now when I looked at these videos of them munching. Haha.
